Anita Tolani is the managing partner in the firm of Weinberg, Jacobs & Tolani, LLP. Her legal practice has focused on business law, licensing and regulatory compliance matters, and estate planning. She is a participant in the Members' Attorney Program of the ACA International, a former MAP Committee Member and certified by MAP as a Collection Notice Review attorney and HIPAA attorney.
During her years representing the collection industry, Anita has served as counsel for numerous consumer and commercial agencies, obtaining licenses in every state and territory where licensing is required, negotiating settlements with state and federal regulators and Attorneys General offices, representing and managing agencies litigation brought by debtors, and drafting and reviewing collection contracts, vendor agreements, and collection notices. She has advised numerous clients with respect to licensing and regulatory compliance in connection with the purchase and sale of collection agencies.
Anita holds a B.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from Washington College of Law at American University. She is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
